Fernanda Almeida - cure of hepatitis C Fernanda Almeida was born in 1962 in Mozambique. She now lives in Portugal in the city of Oporto. She works as a sale technician. She is married and has a daughter. She loves reading in her spare time and is now taking an attorney course in University. She is a fruitarian since September 1997. Fernanda discovered the fruit diet in a moment of despair. She was taken one day to the hospital because she was not feeling very well. Fernanda had always been healthy. The only problems she had were strong headaches and two ulcers because she was a very nervous and anxious person. Her first thought was that her nervous ulcers had become worse. When she got to the hospital Hepatitis C disease was diagnosed. But she had to stay at the hospital due to a serious problem in her blood. The doctors believed that she could have haemorrhages because she was having coagulation problems. She was only given a vitamin and blood tests were done several times a day. The doctors had given her little hope due to the advanced state and seriousness of her sickness. Her brother who had been reading intensively about the fruit diet, advised her to eat only fruit, which she did. At that moment she did not have any doubts about getting enough nutrients. Her only hope was to overcome her sickness. During the transition period Fernanda did not feel any discomfort her body accepted her diet very well. She started feeling better everyday and after sixteen days she came home from the hospital, has she had improved well. Her doctor however, had told her that Hepatitis C could be an irreversible sickness and that her general state worried her. She came home rested for fifteen days and went back to work. Six months later Fernanda was advised to take new exams and to her doctors surprise she had completely recovered from her health problem. She noticed that the health problems she had before going to the hospital had completely been overcome. Her strong headaches that could only be handled with pills (these contributed to aggravate her stomach ulcers) and the two ulcers have now completely disappeared. She sometimes had doubted if she had all the nutrients her body needed, but has she felt so well, she strictly carried on eating only fruit, nuts and seeds. She soon overcame these worries and now never thinks of such things. She felt wonderful changes in her body: more health, gradual weight loss and a wonderful feeling of self-control and energy. She says that: one feels a full capacity of overcoming every problem in life with no stress at all. Its a strength that comes within you and it is overwhelming, you simply know that you can do all you wish in life Fernanda is now a much more calm person. People remark on her light and relaxed attitude towards life and her capacity of overcoming problems. She does not feel any social discomfort she eats out many times and is proud of eating differently from others. Her family and friends have accepted her way of eating and sometimes play with her in a joyful way. At this moment Fernanda does a diet on fruit, nuts and seeds, which she completes with raw vegetable salads (these enable her to eat out in restaurants with no problems). Whenever she eats something unusual in her diet she immediately feels the difference in her body and wisely returns to her diet, which gives her perfect health and well being. She says that she will never give up her fruit diet and return to her old eating habits. Fernanda believes that this diet is worthwhile, because health is very important to her. It is simple for she does not spend time in the kitchen around the stove and dishes. She manages to work, do all her household and study with an incredible feeling of lightness and energy. She seldom visits her doctor because she has no need to do so. She advises everyone to try the fruit diet in order to overcome a health problem, or to improve general health and specially to gain a different attitude towards life. She says that it is a fantastic feeling of self-control. She believes that the most important is to have willpower to begin, to truly believe that it is possible to overcome problems and give life a chance. The rest comes naturally. One will gradually have enough strength to stick to the diet as well as coming back to it when any exception is made.
